St Chads Preschool on Gladstone Street in Winsford has received a boost to its ongoing fundraising appeal with a cheque for £500 from regional housebuilder Bellway Homes.

With its Platts Meadow development located on Way’s Green within walking distance of the Preschool, Bellway was happy to donate the cash to replace much needed equipment lost during a fire back in July and to support the children’s extended learning through the provision of new resources and opportunities.

With space for 50 children over two sessions five days every week, St Chad’s is recognised as an invaluable local service due to its specialist care abilities and extended woodland area that promotes learning and discovery outdoors.

St Chads Preschool manager, Tina Musker, commented:

“We are so grateful to Bellway for this kind donation; the money is a welcome addition to the generosity shown by the local community to keep this invaluable local service relevant and able to continue.  All monies raised through our fundraising drive will go towards running the Preschool and ensuring children from all backgrounds and of all abilities feel welcomed, cared for and included.”

Sales director at Bellway Homes, Jenny Bell, added:

“We were hugely impressed with the work done by the Preschool and the outreach into the community to those who may be struggling financially or supporting children with disabilities or additional needs, and are delighted to provide this donation.  Reinforcing the connection even further are some of the children on our Platts Meadow development, who are currently pupils at the Preschool and will benefit directly from the new resources purchased with the donation.”

A group of children from the Preschool made the short walk up Gladstone Street to Bellway’s Platts Meadow development to receive the cheque from sales advisor Samantha Maher.

One of the UK’s leading residential developers, Bellway Homes is currently building a beautiful selection of three and four bedroom new homes at its Platts Meadow development on Way’s Green in Winsford, Cheshire.
