  • New project announced for Oaksmore which allows ‘every day’ investors to benefit from supporting British heritage projects
  • New heritage luxury barn conversion project in Chester is due to be completed this year

Investors are keen to breathe new life into heritage property across the UK while also earning up to 7.5% return on their investment, can now benefit from the latest stage of growth from a new Innovative Finance ISA company.

The Oaksmore ISA is an Innovative Finance (IF) ISA that specialises in investment in heritage property, giving new purpose to heritage property that would otherwise fall into disuse and neglect.

Following the successful completion of the company’s first project, Oaksmore has announced its new project growth with the acquisition of its latest heritage property site in the North-West of England.

Picton Barns is a luxury barn conversion situated in the desirable hamlet of Picton Gorse, located to the North-East of Chester.

The renovation is the latest in Oaksmore’s line up of upcoming projects and will see the development and restoration of historic buildings which have fallen into disuse and disrepair, transforming them back to their best possible state for use and thus increasing the value of the site and its positive impact on local communities.

The charming, semi-rural setting of Picton Barns will no doubt prove popular amongst those keen to reside on the outskirts of the city – famous for its picturesque architecture and historic roots – whilst still benefitting from its great transport links and numerous nearby amenities, from shopping centres and restaurants to schools.

Reuben Skelton at Oaksmore said:

“This is an exciting new phase of growth for Oaksmore. Our senior team is responsible for launching more than 200 property funds over the past 30 years and their combined wealth of experience is what makes each of Oaksmore’s site acquisitions and projects, so successful.

“Picton Barns is expected to be hugely popular amongst those looking to purchase property in one of England’s most picturesque cities. The site is brimming with charm and character, boasts great amenities and offers a good compromise between city and rural living.

“The Picton Barns site is under development, having launched late summer 2018 and is set to bring competitive returns for investors who have pledged money to the Oaksmore ISA. Meanwhile the Oaksmore team is busy working on a number of other exciting projects across the UK, which will be announced in due course.”

Investors pledging money to the Oaksmore ISA will not only reap the benefits of a healthy return on their investment, but will also play an active role in supporting the restoration of some of Britain’s most attractive heritage property sites.

What’s more, those investing in the Oaksmore ISA will benefit from much higher rates of interest than those offered through regular savings accounts and traditional Cash ISAs.  Also, unlike many other Innovative Finance ISA products on the market, the Oaksmore ISA allows consumers to benefit from investing without fees. There is no joining, administration, running or exit fees for investors.

With an Oaksmore ISA, investors can expect to see healthy returns of up to 7.5% per annum over a 60-month term, whilst returns over a 24-month term stand at 5% per annum. Consumers can choose between a two or five-year bond when investing and can transfer funds from an existing ISA if funds are tied up elsewhere.

As with traditional Cash ISAs and other Innovative ISA products on the market, the maximum sum that can be invested is £20,000 per tax year, whilst the minimum investment is £1,000.

Whilst consumers can only invest in one Innovative Finance ISA in any one tax year, investments may be split across different ISA types: for example, Cash ISAs, Stocks and Shares ISAs and IF ISAs.

The Oaksmore ISA is offered through Oaksmore Portfolios AIFM Limited, a firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
