Knutsford company blazing a trail in hospitality market

A Knutsford company which specialises in sophisticated intelligent building technologies and whose latest contract has seen it working on the £55m redevelopment of Annabel’s private members club in London says that it will have a year of substantial growth in 2018.

The company, Intecho, is currently blazing a trail in the London hospitality market and in the high end residential market where it’s custom built lighting and building technologies control systems are very much in demand.

Founded by Paul Murphy and Ben Patterson in 2010, Intecho has recently completed a string of prestigious contracts in the London restaurant and bar market which has seen them bringing the vision of the internationally acclaimed interior architecture and design studio, Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, to life.

As well as the Annabel’s contract, Intecho has been involved in working their lighting magic at The Ivy and Sexy Fish restaurants in London. At these venues, and Annabel’s, lighting is used to enhance artworks by the likes of Damien Hirst and is also used to set the mood and take diners seamlessly from day to evening.

At The Ivy, lighting can be dimmed on particular tables at the touch of a button to protect celebrity diners’ privacy.

Intecho has also completed lighting projects at five Motel One hotels, including two in Manchester, and completes work at the brand’s latest Glasgow hotel this month which will become the city’s largest hotel.

Looking ahead to the remainder of 2018, the company has a number of large scale residential projects underway and is also working on the refurbishment of the Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa on Lake Windermere, part of the English Lakes Hotels group.

Speaking about the year ahead, Paul Murphy said,

“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work on so many high-profile projects in the last year and to have established ourselves as one of the go-to suppliers for the delivery of sophisticated control systems.

“Intelligent lighting and intelligent buildings are now becoming reasonably standard, but with our experience and expertise we can take it to another level. For us it’s all about attention to detail and allowing our clients, whether residential or commercial, to get the very best out of their projects and interiors. We have worked hard to establish a reputation as a go to company with our ability to take on even the most challenging projects.

“By providing really sophisticated building systems, we help our clients to reflect their brand and allow their customers to gain maximum enjoyment from the environment into which they have stepped.”
